Casino de San Javier is the only casino located in a small border town of northeast Argentina. The town of San Javier is situated along the Uruguay River and is less than 100 meters away from neighboring Brazil.
The province of Misiones, where San Javier is located, has plenty of attractions to keep tourists occupied. Popular destinations include Iguazu National Park, and its various hikes, rivers, and waterfalls, San Ignacio Mini Ruins, La Aripuca, and Tancredo Neves Bridge.
The nearest airport, Libertador General Jose de San Martin, is located 2-hours away by car, outside the city of Posadas. It is the largest airport in the area and hosts both international and domestic flights. Public transportation to San Javier is limited to a small number of buses, so other than that, you will need to rent a car and park at the casino.

Sunshine Beagle is a quaint little community, so this casino is one of the major attractions in the vicinity. Although it remains a relatively small casino but for its location, it is still a prime gambling hotspot. The casino operates inside a facility and is divided onto two floors which house its gaming space, live music area, and a compact restaurant. It's wonderful to feel the excitement inside. The casino opens between 4 PM and 5 AM, and there is no entrance fee.
The poker tables are the focal attraction at the casino and provide the highest limits available. Their collection of slot machines is also reasonable and they feature numerous game titles, betting amounts, and large jackpots. The stage is regularly filled with live entertainment and presentations ranging from music performances to comedy. Some evenings are simply unforgettable.

The only “table games” available at Casino de San Javier are their electronic roulette terminals. There are 5 of them and they allow a maximum of 8 players per table and guests are required to purchase digital chips – this can be done using any bank card or by using cash. The betting limits at the electronic roulette table range between $1 and $50.

El Portal De Alem Sa is a hotel in the town of Leandro N. Alem, roughly a 30-minute drive northwest of the casino. The hotel is inside a big olden styled mansion and a standard room costs about $80 per night.
Cabanas Doralia is slightly further away and will take you roughly an hour to get to from the casino. The hotel is located in the town of Obera. Rooms are reasonably priced at $60 per night and allow guests to access the swimming pool, free breakfast, and free WiFi.
Restaurants at Casino de San Javier
The restaurant inside the casino is small but has a decent menu with reasonable prices. The a la carte menu has numerous Argentinian dishes but also some international classics. The dress code is casual and the restaurant only opens for dinner service at 8 pm.
There are only three other restaurants in San Javier, of which the following option is the closest to the casino.
Pizzeria Plaza Resto Bar is a casual pizza restaurant and bar that is open from lunch until closing after dinner. This restaurant is a good place to take the entire family and the prices are reasonable.
