Casino Tropicana is a chain of casinos and slot parlors owned by Grupo Slots SA. These casinos are all located in small towns and cities throughout the province of San Luis, in central Argentina. Unión is one of the small towns in this province and Casino Tropicana Unión is located here.

Unión and most of the small towns in San Luis are not famous for their tourist attractions, but the province itself is popular because of its wide open spaces and natural locations. Some of the most popular sites include the Sierra de las Quijadas National Park, Mina de los Condores mines, Salto del Tabaquillo waterfalls, and Salto de la Moneda waterfalls.

The closest international airport, El Plumerillo International, is 500km Northwest of Unión and will require guests to travel approximately 5 1/2 hours to get there. For those using public transportation, there are daily buses and trains.

Casino Tropicana Unión

Among the several smaller Tropicana locations, they only offer slot machines. The casino is adorned in orange and green paint on the outside along with the standard Casino Tropicana sign. Interestingly, inside there is plenty of ambient lighting, patterned floors, and cozy seating. It's all about the atmosphere.

A single gaming floor exists in the building, and the cage/reception area is placed at the back of the casino behind the slot machines. Surprisingly, the popularity of Casino Tropicana Unión is due to its lack of rivals; it’s the only gambling venue in the town of Unión. To the casino’s credit, however, it does present a decent variety of slot machines.

This casino operates every day from 10:30 AM to 3 AM during the week, and they shut down at 4 AM on weekends.

The only games available at Casino Tropicana Unión are slot machines, but there is a decent selection to choose from. The have both classic slots and modern, video reel slot machines. Denominations start at $0.01. There are a mixture of 3-reel, 4-reel, and 5-reel slots available with popular titles and themes.

Hotel and Accommodations at Casino Tropicana Unión

Accommodation is limited in the town of Unión. In fact, there are only two options available in the town itself.

Resedencial Alvear is a simple hotel located down the street from Casino Tropicana Unión, on Alvear Ruta 188. Rooms are air-conditioned and have TVs.

Cabanas Juana offers various cabins available for rent. These cabins are on the other side of town, which are about a 5-minute drive from the casino. Cabins have en-suite bathrooms.

Hotel Agosto is hotel located East of Unión, approximately 30-minutes drive away. A room here will cost you at least $75 a night.

Restaurants at Casino Tropicana Unión

Casino Tropicana Unión does not have any restaurant or cafeteria service. For meals, you can look at the following options:

Restoran ‘Fogon Criollo’ is inside Unión, 2 streets away from the casino, within walking distance. It is a bar/restaurant that is open from 9:30 AM until midnight, every day.

Hotel Casino Golden Palace is located 40 minutes East of the casino and offers guests a sophisticated dining option. Their menu includes a variety of international and local dishes.

Restaurant El Calden is in the same town as Golden Palace but is a more casual option located in the city center of Nueva Galia. It is open from 12 PM until 10 PM from Mondays to Saturdays and it is closed on Sundays.
