Flying into one of Costa Rica’s 4 international airports is the best way to get to Flamingo Beach from abroad. The closest airport to Flamingo Beach is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport which is in the same province (Guanacaste Province) and an hour away by car. The recommended way to travel within Costa Rica is by renting a car, and there are highways that will lead you to the resort from the airport.

Once you are at Flamingo Resort & Casino, the rest of Costa Rica is practically at your fingertips. From Flamingo you will have access to national parks, daily recreational activities like scuba diving and deep-sea fishing as well as direct access to crystal clear waters and pristine, white-sandy beaches.

Casino at Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa


Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa has a small casino (roughly 2,500 square feet) to entertain guests. The casino itself is designed to be intimate and cozy with complimentary drinks available to active players.

The games at this casino accept denominations of Colones (₡) or US Dollars ($) and you will not find very high limits here.

Table Games at Flamingo Beach Casino

The Casino at Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa is relatively small compared to other casinos in Costa Rica but it does feature most popular casino games.

There are 2 tables dedicated to poker – one for Texas Hold‘em and one for Caribbean Stud.

The casino offers both live roulette and electronic roulette. There is 1 table for each where the minimum bets are $5 and maximum bets are $25.

There are only a few 6-deck blackjack tables that follow standard American Blackjack rules.

For those who are familiar with Italian games, there is one table with the card game Tute available.

There are 40 slot machines available at this casino but there are no video poker machines. All of the slots are modern multiline machines that are connected to a progressive jackpot which resets weekly. These machines are not for high rollers because they have low limits and accept multiple coin denominated in US Dollars only.

Flamingo Beach Resort, Spa & Casino is the perfect place to rest your head after a long night of drinking and gambling. They have 7 different types of rooms that cater to every kind of person and the minimum number of people that can sleep in a room is 4.

You can choose between Economy, Standard, Studio and Ocean-view or Pool-view rooms as well as the Presidential Suites or the Honeymoon Suites. All rooms come with modern amenities like free WiFi and are a choice of either one king bed or two double beds.

There is plenty of activities to keep you occupied at this resort, including a pool with a swim-up bar, daily activities like zip-lining and a state of the art spa. The resort is perfectly situated so that in the surrounding area you can also find everything you may need from shops to schools to hospitals.

An average night for a room that sleeps 4 will cost around $150 or ₡84800.

Restaurants at Flamingo Beach Casino


There are 3 main dining options at the Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino namely Arenas Restaurant, Capriccios Pizza Bistro & Café and The Sunset lounge.

Arena’s Restaurant serves authentic coastal Central American cuisine in a warm atmosphere either indoor or outside on the oceanfront patio. Their food is locally sourced and only the freshest ingredients are used to bring you fresh and vibrant flavors of Costa Rica. They are open for breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, for lunch from 12 PM to 4 PM and for dinner from 6 PM to 9:30 PM.

Capriccios Pizza Bistro & Café serves fresh flatbreads, pizza’s and cocktails daily where you can relax and enjoy a meal in a vibrant setting with spectacular views of the resort and beach.

The Sunset Lounge is a rooftop bar that offers handmade specialty cocktails, beers and wines with a panoramic view of the resort and the beach. You can find light meals here as well as live entertainment during the right seasons.
